Meet Jonathan Banks!
JB has always had a passion for consuming and creating inspirational art; in fact, he originally moved to Atlanta to break into the music industry! We’re glad he found his way to Brunner, where he’s worked as a copywriter/content creator for three years.
Q: What were some of your high school hobbies?
A: Basketball, track, theatre, making music with my hip-hop band.
Q: Tell us some high school fun facts.
A: I was in a hip-hop band. My first car was a Buick Electra 225 and I won the superlative for ugliest car at school. But I was homecoming king and happy I didn’t have to bum rides anymore, so I took it like a champ.
Q: Tell us about home life today!
A: I am a single dad of an amazing 7-year-old boy.
Q: Any fun “projects” happening at home?
A: I’ve been gardening, taking photos, playing my piano and guitar, attempting to produce music again(when I have the extra time).
Q: What is one thing you’ve crossed off your bucket list?
A: Tour 5 African countries and document the Indigenous tribes in rural areas.
Q: What is the craziest thing you have ever done?
A: I left my job in Richmond, gave away everything I couldn’t pack into my dinged-up Subaru, and moved to Atlanta to break into the music industry. Crazy AF.
Q: What is your favorite book?
A: The Alchemist
Q: Do you have an “unpopular opinion”?
A: Earth, Wind, and Fire is the greatest band of all time.
Q: What is your favorite movie quote?
A: “If you want peace, prepare for war.”- John Wick 3
Q: What are you currently binging on TV?
A: The Last Dance on Netflix.
Q: What’s your favorite sports team?
A: I don’t have one. But I always root for the home team. So, all things Atlanta.
Q: What is your favorite place in the world?
A: I love being in and around anything creative.
Q: What would you do with one million dollars?
A: Pay off all my debt, invest in Amazon, and explore Africa with my camera in hand.
